Description
This reference manual was created to assist candidates preparing to take the CCO Signalperson certification examinations. The information contained in this manual has been compiled from a number of different sources. These sources and the relevant material selected for inclusion in the reference manual are as follows:
- ASME B30.5 (2011) – Mobile & Locomotive Cranes, section 5-3.3: Signals
- ASME B30.3 (2012) – Construction Tower Cranes, Section 3-3.3: Signals
- OSHA 29 CFR Part 1926 Subpart CC – Cranes and Derricks in Construction (Sections 1419, 1422, 1428: Signalperson Requirements and Qualifications)
- Voice and Signal Communication
Please note that candidates should be familiar with all sections of the ASME B30.5 (2011) and OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart CC that are relevant to crane operations and signaling operations.
